Teen Connection Group
Teen Connection Group
Michelle Emery-Xu, LMFT
Is your teen feeling stressed, isolated, or struggling to navigate relationships and emotions? The Teen Connection Group offers a safe, supportive space where high school students can share experiences, create connections, and build a deeper understanding of themselves and others.
Through guided discussions led by therapist Michelle Emery-Xu, LMFT, members will explore common teen challenges such as academic pressure, perfectionism, social dynamics, family relationships, identity questions, and worries about the future.
In this group, teens will learn to:
Strengthen interpersonal skills and communication
Navigate life changes and transitions
Regulate emotions and reduce stress (i.e. irritability, sadness, worry)
Address peer conflict and feelings of isolation
Reduce somatic symptoms (headaches, stomaches, tension)
Increase academic and social engagement
Increase overall health, confidence, and well-being
Practice being vulnerable in a safe space
